Dunbar feels power of prayer
[The McLeod County Chronicle, Dec. 31, 2009] Christmas came early this year to the Glencoe home of Bill and Marilyn Dunbar, where on Nov. 13, Marilyn and sons Hunter, Chase and Reed happily shared a gift. It was Bill, returning after nine days at Abbott Northwestern Hospital in Minneapolis, where medical professionals twice lowered his body temperature to a cool 91 degrees, a comatose state, in an effort to revive him from respiratory arrest.
“You’re a Popsicle,” Dunbar says now, referring to the Minneapolis Heart Institute’s “Cool It” program, first established at Abbott Northwestern in 2006. Read the entire story at glencoenews.com.
