Allina’s Penny George Institute for Health and Healing presents Discover the Art of Healing
[Allina Newsroom, April 23, 2010] Working as a character designer and concept artist, Chris Ayers, 35, has been involved in projects such as Men In Black II, Fantastic Four, and The Santa Clause 2. In addition, he has published two books, “The Daily Zoo: Keeping the Doctor at Bay with a Drawing a Day.”
Ayers lives in Los Angeles and works in the movie industry there, but he’s from Minneapolis and still has family here. Currently, some of his sketches hang in a hallway at Abbott Northwestern Hospital.
A cancer diagnosis inspired his artwork, and he will talk about the healing power of art at Discover the Art of Healing, Thursday, May 20 at Nicollet Island Pavilion, 40 Power Street, Minneapolis.
